Good thing come to those who wait…
I think it’s been ten years since Doug Orr sold me this late 1800’s chisel box with the gorgeous James Warnock (Galt, Canada) labels…
One by one I would find Warnock firming chisels to put in the box and it surprised me how long it took. I’m still a couple short.
There was a real mish-mash of handles and some had no handles at all. One had a great black walnut handle and so I asked a friend to mimick it and make me a set.
I spent an hour or so putting a couple of coats of Danish oil and some wax on them.
Sexy chisels, eh?
