All items are sold in Canadian dollars.
At the present time, we are not set up to use PayPal.
OTT uses a SQUARE Terminal POS system. This facilitates payments by Debit Cards; Major Credit Cards; Apple Pay; and Google Pay. The terminal can accept tap and chip and PIN. It will print receipts.
Cash and e-Transfers are accepted.
Website Sales
Orders can be placed using the Shopping Cart. Further inquiries and questions should be made via email: doug@oldetradetools.com.
Please indicate the following when making an inquiry about an item:

Will this item require shipping? If so, provide a postal code for estimating purposes.
Applicable taxes are built into the price structure for Website Sales. In the majority of cases, Website sales involve shipping. This means that time and materials are involved in both the packaging and transport to the post office and back. For these reasons the price is the price.
Items on the OTT Website will generally be of Higher Value and Collector Items. If you are after more common items, please inquire via email: doug@oldetradetools.com.
Facebook Sales
In general, we maintain a rolling inventory of a few hundred items on Facebook Marketplace. High value items tend to sell quickly. OTT responds to items in the order they were received.
Initial inquiries should be made via Facebook Messenger.

Please note that Shipping from Canada is considerably more expensive than rates in the US. I will use Canada Post’s Rate Calculator to provide an estimate.
When applicable, I will convert the price of the goods and the shipping to $US using the rates from the site XE.com
In general, I do not normally encourage shipments, as it almost always involves a lot of communication with a net result of no sale.
Holding Items
If an item is to be picked up, OTT cannot be expected to hold them for periods longer than 24 hours. If it gets beyond 24 hours, a minimum 30% down payment is required. Popular items on Facebook Marketplace rarely last a day. Given that 10% of respondents never show up for appointments, this ensures that the intent to purchase is solid.
Aberfoyle Sales, Tools Of The Trades Show & Event Sales
OTT endeavours to keep its customer base appraised of upcoming events. Keep in mind that when we are at these events during high activity points, our time is limited. It is not uncommon at the Pickering Tools of the Trades Show to be maintaining three tables with twenty people in front of you for hours.
Timberframe Sales – Year Round
The Timber Frame at OTT World Headquarters is basically an 8:00 am to 4:00 pm weekend venue. In the summertime when Aberfoyle is running it is pretty much a Saturday’s-ONLY meeting place.
Parking At Olde Trade Tools – World Headquarters
If you are coming to the Timber Frame for a pick up; I will respond with directions. There is a small parking lot less than 100’ away.
Security Systems
In general, the Hand Tool User/Collecting Community is an honest lot. That said, security cameras will be installed at both Aberfoyle and the Timber Frame.
