James Howarth Rosewood Mortise Gage

It was relatively well-known that the Sheffield Maker James Howarth made some of the best quality tools available. I didn't catch it when I photographed this piece but someone had put the post in upside-down. It does have a brass pad piece under the screw. The pins are reasonably long. The fire in the rosewood grain is particularly nice with this piece.
